Airgas Refrigerants Enjoys Record-Breaking AHR Expo

March 2, 2017

Airgas Refrigerants enjoyed a very successful AHR Expo, held Jan. 30-Feb. 1 in Las Vegas. We reconnected with many customers, gathering more than 800 new leads and meeting with a range of national, international and West Coast partners, customers and prospective customers. Traffic at the Airgas booth was so heavy that booth staff members retired the much-loved Airgas Refrigerants prize wheel after day two of the show, as we ran out of visitor prizes.

Airgas management also met with members of the media as we showed off our new website, discussed the Airgas product line mix and buying trends, highlighted the growing urgency to reclaim refrigerants, and discussed our broad services options designed to help contractors with refrigerant needs. See the video of Sr. VP, of Sales and Purchasing Jay Kestenbaum talking with ACHR News here.

Show management for the 2017 AHR Expo announced that the event set three all-time records. The 2017 attendance of 68,615 passed the previous attendance record of 61,674, set in 2015 in Chicago.

Additionally, the 2017 show’s occupied exhibit space totaled more than half a million square feet—500,159 net square feet, breaking the AHR Expo all-time record set in 2015 in Chicago.

48,568 visitors (non-exhibit staff) attended, breaking the event’s attendance record of more than 42,000 set in New York in 2014. Of those 48,000 plus visitors, 14,825 international visitors from 165 countries attended the show.

The 2017 show’s nearly 11.5 acres of exhibit space was occupied by 1,968 exhibitors, 259 of which participated in the AHR Expo for the first time. Exhibitor personnel from most U.S. states and from 32 countries staffed booth exhibits. There were 541 international exhibitors.

The next AHR Expo, co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI, will be held Jan. 22-24, 2018 at McCormick Place in Chicago.  For additional information, visit ahrexpo.com. We hope to see you there.
